What's In Each Box?
Shetland is famous for lots of things! Puffins, knitting, music, ponies, northern lights, spectacular wildlife, a slightly grumpy TV detective and the UK's most northerly everything!
In each box we shine the spotlight on products sourced from local makers, creators and crafters, sharing their gorgeous creations with the world! Every box has a Shetland specific theme.
The contents of each box will be a surprise, but will include:

- Something for the home: think handmade in Shetland or Shetland designed ceramics, wood crafts, tableware, knitted goods, ornaments etc.

- Something for the nose: think candles, soaps, handwash, creams, etc.

- Something for the tastebuds: think Shetland made biscuits, sweets, drinks, preserves, chocolates etc (we're not licensed to sell alcohol - yet!).

- Something for the eyes: think pictures, artwork, photo prints, cards, stationery, notebooks, etc.

- Something to read: think Shetland themed books, maps, printed info.

- Something from us! Inside each box we also add a Shetland In A Box extra of our own.

- We also include a newsletter in every box that tells the story of each box theme.
And, on occasion we'll have something completely different to share with you!
But rest assured we're here to share the very highest quality of genuine Shetland products with you. We're also picking goodies to appeal to all genders.
At the moment there will be no alcohol included in the boxes.

If you sign up to a 3 or 6 month subscription, you will be signing up for a minimum period of 3 or 6 months.
We gather all the goodies we need from local makers and creators each month and send them to you by the 11th of each month.
A 3 month subscription means you get 3 boxes, and a 6 month subscription means you get 6 boxes.
You also get your first box half-price! (We can offer this because you're signing up to a minimum of 3 or 6 months, we don't offer cancellations before 3 months).
At the end of your 3 or 6 month subscription you can choose to continue your subscription on a month-to-month basis.
Yes, absolutely - just pick a one-off box and we'll get that ready to send for you. We post one-off boxes once a week.
As far and wide as we possibly can! We deliver to all of the UK, Europe and worldwide. It might take a bit longer for your box to get to you and the shipping costs vary. We offer tracked shipping by Royal Mail.

All based on 2kg weight max for boxes
UK postage - included in subscription price of £45 per box
Service: royal mail UK signed second class £3.95
Europe - zones 1, 2 and 3 - customer is charged £10 for postage
Service: international tracked cost range £11.80 - £14.20
World - zones 1, 2 and 3 (Canada, South America, Africa, Asia, USA, Australia, New Zealand) customer is charged £20 for postage
Service: international tracked cost range £23 - £25.00
In the UK the cost of postage is included in the £45 you pay for your box.
For international orders we charge an additional amount to cover shipping costs. These vary depending on your location. Our boxes are sent by Royal Mail and have international tracking.

The boxes are designed to fit a wide range of interests and for a wide range of people. They aren't gender specific and they don't contain alcohol (we're not yet licensed to include alcohol in the boxes).
The longer you subscribe, the more you'll see just how much Shetland's makers and creators have to offer you :)
We do like to keep what's inside each box a surprise for the recipients. But, if you'd love a tour of what's inside any specific box to make sure it's what you're looking for, just email us to ask and we'll send you a quick video.
